The life cycle of a Cicada

Life cycle of a Cicada

Have you ever wonder about the Cicada's life cycle?

Firstly The 13- or 17-year life cycle of a periodical cicada begins when an adult female cicada lays her eggs in slits she cuts in the twigs and branches of trees.

Cicada Life CycleImage result for cicada early nymphSecondly nymphs drink sap from the xylem of various species of tree including oak cypress willow ash and maple while it is common folklore that adults do not eat they actually do drink sap utilizing.

Cicada Life CycleFinally
The world's largest species of cicada is the Mega Pomponia imperatoria, which is native to Malaysia. The largest species in North America is Neo Tibicen auletes, aka the Northern Dusk Singing Cicada.

We have talked about a cicada's life cycle and how it is like, from when they are eggs and and when the turn into a adult.

Eel Report

TUNA
Opening statement
The scientific name for eels is Anguilliformes.Eels are referred to as Tuna in maori. They are known as freshwater fish there are two main types of eels longfin and shortfin. There are less eels today because of the loss of wetlands and historical commercial fishing practice.Image result for freshwater eels

Appearance
When the eels are small, they have relatively smooth heads but when they grow up there head becomes bulbous, with a prominent muscular dome behind the eyes.Eels have slippery skin to make them slip out of there hands. When eels begin life, they are a tiny one millimetre in length. During their life, they can grow up to two metres long.

Breeding
Longfin eels can  only breed once, at the end of their life. When eels are ready to breed they leave New Zealand and swim all the way to the  Pacific Ocean to spawn, probably in very deep spots.

Habitat

Longfin eels you can find them throughout New Zealand.Eels  live  in rivers and inland lakes but eels can be found in almost all types of waters, usually well inland from the coast.

GENERAL STATEMENT
Longfin eels can live up to 25 to 80 years old until they breed then the female eel dies but the shortfin eels live up to 15 to 18 years old.But you shouldn't eat longfin eels because they got toxic inside of them so it is very dangerous to eat longfin eels.

SHOULD WE HAVE RUBBISH BIN AT SCHOOL

SHOULD WE HAVE RUBBISH BIN AT SCHOOL

I strongly believe we should have rubbish bins in our school first so we don't put it in our bags
so we have no rubbish flying around
because the environment is the best.

Firstly we need rubbish bins so we have some where else to put our rubbish and our parents will get angry because our bags are smelly dirty and wet.

Secondly we need rubbish bins so our teachers watch us put them in the rubbish bins and so the teachers don’t yell at use to pick up rubbish that sometimes ant ours.

Lastly we should have rubbish bins so we never have to be a rubbish free school because being a rubbish free school means making us students put the rubbish in our bags.

Should we wear sun hats at school

Should we wear hats at school

I Recommend We should wear sun hats at school because do you want the number of  melanoma to go down there is about four thousand  people are diagnosed and 300 hundred people die each year.Do you really want melanoma?
It's bad having melanoma even sometimes people make you cry because they mock you
Sometimes you can always ask your principal or your teacher if you can wear your own hats from your home.

Firstly when you go to school  people would say that you don't suit that hat or say that you're ugly but you just stand straight and tall and walk away.

Secondly it's bad not wearing a hat because it causes melanoma (skin cancer) it's good to care about yourself especially when you don't have a hat so go buy a hat right now.
Lastly why doesn't anyone love sun hats their good to protect your heads and the bucket hats look cool.?

Finally  so you do need sun hats or hats from your house so you won’t get melanoma  or skin cancer and the doctor will say your melanoma  free you can live your life not thinking about do I have melanoma. But you still have to take care of yourself.
